Paris, France - REACH imposes on all importers and producers in the EU/EEA an obligation of declaration and registration within a specific timeframe for all substances and preparations. The final deadline for the registration is set to May 31^st, 2018. This matter concerns, in particular, superabrasives producers of diamond and cBN grains.

The 5th European Conference on Grinding will take place in Aachen, on November the 29th and 30th. The speakers are known experts in the concerned field. The goal is to illustrate material developments and the resulting challenges for the grinding technology of different industrial sectors.

FEPA has remodeled its website to communicate better with its members, the professionals of the abrasives industry but also with the general public. Indeed FEPA offers numerous services for the DIYers, espacially concerning safety (codes, leaflets, videos...).

From the 15th to 17th of June 2016, over a hundred representatives of abrasives and superabrasives manufacturers and grains producers gathered together in Budapest (Hungary). Every year the congress of the Federation of the European Producers of Abrasives (FEPA) is the major event of the industry defining itself as solutions provider to most industries in Europe and worldwide. The experts of companies met specialists in health, safety and environment, research, and standardisation.
